Welcome to my new blog! Some of you followed my last one, and you know that I, er, kind of dropped off the face of the blogging planet. However, that is about to change! Some friends of I have decided to make lists of goals that we want to accomplish during our lifetimes, and then pursue them together each month. One friend of mine has decided to take a picture a day for an entire year to record all those life moments - big and small. I thought it was a great idea, so I'm going to try my hand at it too - maybe not for a whole year, but for at least a season. I started last week, and it has been taking a bit of getting used to - I have found myself frantically looking for something newsworthy at about 9:00 at night, regretting the missed moments throughout the day. However, I am optimistic that with a little persistance, I will begin to take advantage of opportunities as they come.
Sooo.. I have week #1 down. Some of the pictures are fairly grand...

And others not so much...

A couple of highlights for the week:

Wednesday: Babysitting for sweet little baby Judah - my "nephew". He has a very easy going temperment, and we spent most of the night playing. I do wish I could get as excited about squeaking ducks as he does.

Thursday: A few girls and I headed up the the mountains for a hike. We were very excited to get some fresh air after a long day at work.

Friday: This is a picture 1 of 4 (yes, 4) honeybees that snuck into my house with some freshly cut flowers Friday. Anybody know any good tips for how to get bees out of your house without getting stung? I tried luring them out with flowers (didn't work), and turning off all the lights except the ones outside (they seemed to happily settle down for a nap in my kitchen). I even tried tempting them with a little honey on my front steps (must not have been from the right colony). Finally I managed to catch each of them in a box and relocated them into the great outdoors.

Saturday: Pool party! Perfect for the 95 degree day that it was!

I also had my first-ever box of crackerjacks, which I have been told is a very big deal.

Sunday: Insta-care anyone? My roommate with her freshly broken arm from sliding into first base during a softball game. I have now been designated as the official bottle-opener, hairspray sprayer, pasta drainer, and sweeper of the house.
